Week 7 Update
Season is about at the midway point for most of us.  And this past week, win lose or draw, there were some very nice "FAMF1RST" performances:
- Marshawn led by example and provided the lift to the Bills in their upset over the San Diego Chargers.
- Jamarcus Russell enjoyed his finest moment as a pro, by leading the Raiders to a thrilling OT win against Brett Favre and the visiting N.Y. Jets.
- UTEP saw a recent winning streak end at the hands of an unbeaten Tulsa team.

Things are rounding into shape, but the road doesn't get any easier.  Consistency and productivity will be needed in the upcoming weeks to add to our win totals.  Keep one eye on the prize, and the other on your FAM1LY... that way you'll never miss anything!!!  God bless and see you soon!  FAM1LYF1RST!

Week 4 Update
This past week was the first week of the season that Marshawn was held out of the end zone.  He still had a very productive day and led the Bills to a come-from-behind victory.  Although Marshawn got shut out of the end zone, it was a different story for the rest of the fam.

Josh Ferguson accepted a lateral from a teammate and raced 42 yards to the end zone for a touchdown (the 2nd TD scored on defense of "Furg's" career).

The Raiders suffered a crushing defeat in which they surrendered 25 fourth quarter points, but Tyvon Branch made another big special teams hit, and Johnnie Lee Higgins was a primary playmaker on offense and special teams.

We look forward to a very productive week this week!  Let's see how many FAMF1RST boys we can get on sportscenter this week!!  Always keep your FAM1LYF1RST!  Enjoy your week and God Bless!

Week 2 Update
A strong football weekend has come and past.  There were some breakout performances, as well as some steady consistency.  Marshawn continues to run the ball well and lead Buffalo, Oakland's offensive woes gave way to 300 yards rushing, and the college season is as up in the air as it has ever been.  Early game jitters should now start to be replaced with the passion of playing against division/conference rivals.  Players with preseason and camp injuries are making their way back, and everything is just about in full swing.  Keep supporting your FAM1LY!!!

Finally, the time is here!
Opening weekend in the NCAA and opening week for the NFL is just days away.  It has been a grueling offseason: workouts, combines, injuries, contract negotiations, roster and position changes.  All of these things have presented challenges to us, but in the upcoming weeks we get to reap the benefits.

Josh Ferguson is opening the regular season for the FAM1LY versus Buffalo on 8-28-08.  After a year sitting out, this is his return to the field.  We look forward to seeing what this season brings forth for all of us... and it begins tonight with Josh.  FAM1LYF1RST! God Bless!

That Time of Year
Well the countdown has officially begun.  It is that time of year!!!  High school kids are getting ready, college kids are going through double days, and pro players are going through camp and playing pre-season games.  The time is UPON US!!!  With one preseason game under their belts, Marshawn, Stevie, Chevis, Book, Josh, and the rest of the boys will continue to make large strides toward productivity at the pro level this season.  This is also a big year for Joshua Ferguson, who is a talented, versatile starter in UTEP's defensive backfield.  We're looking forward to a big year from him!  Stay tuned for weekly updates on events, news, player developments, and my opinion on situations surrounding the FAM1LY.  Good Luck in '08...   and lets keep the FAM1LYF1RST!!
