*Playoff Game (follow his diary of the Rush Playoff run below)
2010 Playoff Diary
Day 1 - We had a good first
day of practice today. Everybody came back from the bye week mentally and physically fresh and ready to work as we prepare
for our first playoff game against the Milwaukee Iron. It's crazy because it almost felt like camp again...
Talk of bringing a championship back to Chicago led to a good, hard practice. Coach Ho made sure that we all understood
what's at stake and the path to the Arena Bowl goes thru Milwaukee... good day.
Day 2 - No practice today. We usually have Mondays & Tuesdays
off with a Saturday game so yesterday was something like an extra day of practice. Since we went harder than usual and
had a good practice, Coach Ho backed off today & gave us the day off to let our bodies recover. I still went into
the training room & got treatment and a good stretch to keep my legs fresh. Afterwards, me & the roommates got
a nice lil film session in... I'll probably fall asleep to some film later tonight too. I didn't need practice
to make today a productive one. Lookin forward to getting back to work tomorrow...
Day 3 - I'm not sure if it's the anticipation of this
week's big game, but I could barely sleep last night. I woke up at 6 am and couldn't fall back asleep so I laid
in bed watchin more Milwaukee film until it was time for practice. We had another good day today. Even with a
few late adjustments, we're becoming more familiar with the gameplan as execution gets more crisp every practice.
On track for success this Saturday. I like the direction we're headed... Day 4 - Great practice today. I don't think we've
had a practice this competitive since early on in the season when we were in camp. It was fast, physical, and definitely
as close to game-like as we could get. At one point, Coach Ho had to step in and remind us that we're all on the
same team working toward the same goal. He did mention that he was pleased with the tempo and the effort. As professional
athletes, sometimes it's easy to use our safety and "staying fresh" as an excuse to go thru the motions.
Not today. We definitely look ready on both sides of the ball and today I think we solidified our confidence in one
another by the way we went out and competed throughout practice. Individually I feel comfortable and confident that
Saturday should be a successful night for myself and the team. I expect nothing less...
